Each of our 12 luxurious tents are designed to be your home away from home throughout your stay, with an en suite bathroom, inviting private deck and views you won’t want to miss. You’ve heard of glamping but this isn’t camping as you know it! Our 12 tented suites are super stylish and unlike any tents you’ve ever experienced.

There are six tents on either side of the Main Tent, each accessible by a walkway, the furthest of which is approximately a five minute walk from the Main Tent. Ten of the suites can be configured with either king or twin beds and two of the suites are four poster king size beds designed to accommodate up to two additional children on sofa beds in the living room. We can cater for a maximum of 24 guests in the camp at any one time.

Hire Cartly Hotel exclusively for anniversary celebrations, birthdays or any type of gathering where you might like the place to yourselves! Exclusive use of Cartly Hotel is quoted per night for use of all 12 tents and facilities. Exclusive use rates usually apply when booking seven or more tents.

Family Fun at Cartly Hotel

We love children at Cartly Hotel and our team are experts at keeping your ‘little warriors’ entertained while you enjoy some rest and relaxation during your family vacation in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Since we know every ‘little warrior’ is different, we do not operate a set kids’ programme but instead we offer an fun range of activities tailored to each of our younger guests or groups.

On arriving at Cartly Hotel, all ‘little warriors; will be given their own pack of goodies to keep them entertained, to educate them about the African Bush and to get them excited for the fun that awaits.

Family Accommodation
At Cartly Hotel, two tents are configured to accommodate two additional guests who are 15 years and under.

Childrens’ beds (180cm in length) are set up on the sofas in a separate enclosed sitting room. All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, sunscreen, insect repellent, torches, extra blankets, ponchos, bathrobes, slippers, a complimentary mini-bar (including snacks and soft drinks) and hot water bottles.

For younger children we can provide a cot and roll away bed for a nanny if required. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to sleep in a tent without parental supervision. Children between the ages of 12-15 are allowed to stay in their own tent, however we strongly recommend that any child under the age of 15 shares a tent with their parent

Activities

With our teams able to tailor a range of activities for our younger guests, here are just some examples of what your ‘little warriors’ may get up to during their stay at Cartly Hotel:

Tracking skills are put to the test with a treasure hunt around the camp
Walks around the camp to spot birds, insects, lizards and many other creatures
Watch The Lion King or Madagascar on DVD, and spot some of the characters’ friends from the game vehicles during the day

Little Warriors is not a fixed kids’ programme. Our staff members are happy to help organise activities, but are unable to watch over children at all times. Parental supervision is therefore required for all suggested activities. Please note that some of these activities are subject to availability.

Our Location

Cartly Hotel is about 240km due west of Nairobi and the best way to arrive is by plane from the city’s Wilson Airport which serves domestic destinations within Kenya. We can arrange transfers between the international and domestic airports for you. Both scheduled and charter airlines operate from Wilson Airport and flights to the region take about 1hour. Olare Orok Airstrip is approximately 25 minutes’ drive from the camp.
